How come the snow is bright white in the shadow of the eggs?

A penguin friend of mine says there should be more snow around the eggs. :c) Well, I'll take his word for it... great image!

Cute image--where's the penguin? :) And, the snow may be white in the shadow of the eggs if its ambiance is set too high in the mat editor. Just a guess.
