3d, photography, and writing BIOI was schooled in photography, back when they used something called "film" and chemicals! I've since gone digital. Later in life, I took up videography, and needed the ability to add graphics and titles to the tapes (another primitive technology). I bought an Amiga and a "genlock" - and the salesman convinced me to buy a 3d program called Imagine. Within 24 sleepless hours, I was hooked on 3d. As for writing,
that was a survival technique. Now, I like to combine images and prose. Most often, they do not form simultaneously.

Yes .. I do think the additions do give more depth to the picture, particularly within the mirror.

COMMENTS FROM VERSION 1 (DELETED): patmartj Amazing work, it shimmers! 07/23/2003 ManuelFr57 The cristal balls are really impressive ! But I don't like the grey background in the mirror, maybe it is too dark. Don't be afraid to touch-up your pictures in a paint program, if it makes them better. 07/23/2003 meico The irridescence of the faceted balls adds an effective [and lovely] link between the mirror world and the exterior. I rather think that the flat blank background is essential - since the interior of the mirror represents a different reality. 07/23/2003 bobbystahr well done....the mirror reflection 'problem' could be over come at render time by assigning a global image in the global brush slot of the global page as well...keep em coming...some of us will always Imagine our daze away...lol 07/23/2003 krominegray I find the use of color, the ornate mirror frame, and the faceted crystal balls exciting; and can easily imagine the soft sound of wind chimes as the crystal balls escape from the mirror. The faceted crystal balls do indeed create magic. 07/24/2003 tien_avielle Thanks for the feedback, folks. I have to admit, I debated about the mirror. I did one render with a global brush as bobby suggested prior to this, but thought the result more distracting. I debated on the tone, but didn't change it. Perhaps I shall put it into a paint program as manuel suggests and experiment there. My only thought was "perhaps a bit of some flooring beneath the mirror images feet." 07/24/2003 tien_avielle Ah, I have it, lol ... a bit of mist in the mirror at the feet (a mysterious ground fog) ... thanks for the motivation and inspiration!
