Well, I finally saved up enough to buy Poser (Only Poser 4, I couldn't afford 5 :( ) And I have to say its driving me insane!! Poser and I just DONT mix :) But it has alowed me to move into a realm of the sort of artwork that I want to do. Hopefully you'll be seeing more from me like this, if I can just make Poser work for me... DJ, I'll be askin you some questions LOL! But here anyhoo, is my first Poser/Vue pic, and there's quite a bit of postwork too. I had to draw the cloak and hair (not at all happy, but I'm getting there)
Your comments would be very helpfull...
Thanx to everyone that has a model in this pic, it wouldnt have looked the same without them. Sorry I cant list all credits, but most of this stuff I have had downloaded for ages... Its all free stuff.
Thanx For Viewing,
Kutter

Excellent layout in the room. You have used heaps of detail. The green stuff is pretty cool.

Hi Kutter - like the glowing effect and the details in the room - excellent work - well done

Hey, this is A LOT better than my first Vue + Poser! Let me know if you need some tips, don't be shy to ask, ok? And most important, have fun!

I think we are all fighting with Poser. So why should it be better for you? :-))) Yeah, the room is great - with a lot of details. Good one!

I have Poser 5 and hate it so much I never even use it. I know others will say it's a great program but I can live without it very nicely. As for this image, it's brilliant! Love the lighting and action. You've posed nicely. Very imaginative too. Excellent work!!

Congrats for finishing your first Poser work. :) Looks really promising. The green mists look very impressive. If you've got any questions just ask. :)))

Hi Kutter! this is a fantastic and very atmospheric Image, great detail, all textures work well.. Yes! I also agree that Poser 4 can be a pig, I have been messing with it for about 3 years, But keep at it you will win in the end. I do find that Daz's Victoria and Mike models are far better for detail, but that is even more expense:o) I also have poser 5 personally I think that this is an even bigger pig:o) Excellent Image...Tom

excellent composition and textures. Great idea for a scene! The library looks impressive.

I think it came out very well. I particularily like the lighting and the green flame. Stick with poser, it takes a bit of getting use to but adding figures to Vue increases the images you can make.

Be glad you didn't spring for Poser 5. It's 10 times harder to use, and crashes on a regular basis. P4 with Pro Pack is much better. The worst thing about it (P5) is the materials room. In other programs (Cinema 4d or Vue for instance) you can acchieve similar results to P5's nodes, but it's far more understandable. The structure and layout in P5 is all wrong. And as for the cloth dynamics room, I think I'd rather figure out how to do the same thing on my university's copy of Maya. Damn P5 and it's creators to everlasting hellfire! Meanwhile, as I wait for my blood pressure to come back down, let me just say, nice image. A really beautiful room.

yea i agree with wabe why shoudnt you struggle lol if you watched me with poser you'd see struggle alright...:)i hate it it never does what i tell it see when i try to clothe someone and give them hair..they end up with a wig on their kneecaps and knickers around their head..and thats just a part of the problems i have..so i hope you are bloody struggling...:)it don't seem like it though looking at your image..way cool..full of detailing and inventiveness..far better than i could manage..its really good steve for a first attempt..i reckon you will get very good at it ..can.t wait to see more..regards mate (davy)

Looks good especially the library setting. Just make sure you have lots of hard drive space for all the Poser downloads

Wow!! Congrats to this wonderful first Poser+Vue pic! Great idea .. excellent details and textures!

Well it looks like your first composition with Poser and Vue was a great one. Excellent work all around. Don't worry about not getting Poser 5, because most of what is in 5 can be done in 4 with Vue as the renderer and it does get easier...
