Description

Tigers at Edinburgh Zoo. Shot through glass. Bit of motion blur on this one because of the 'slow' shutter speed, but didn't have time to change settings when I saw this happening as I approached from taking photos at a much brighter enclosure. Canon 10D / EF 100-400mm f4.5/5.6L USM IS @ 170mm ISO 100 - f/4.5 - 1/45sec -- Mark

Thanks for the comments everyone. It's much appreciated. patmartj: As you say, the blur on the mother's leg and back of the cub adds to the shot. However, there's also some blur on the mother's head, which is only disguised by some aggressive sharpening in PhotoShop and the (relatively) small image size. Some other shots taken just a few moments later (after she dropped the cub) are pin-sharp throughout, so this one looks worse (to me) in contrast.
