Description
This is my portrait of the lovely Meli :). When I first joined Renderosity Meli commented on every single one of my images and made me feel so welcome. She suggested we do a portrait-swap, which I thought was a great idea, and after 10 hours here she is.

And I who I wasn't thinkin you would have EVEN uploaded it here... I linked your site in the Forum to praise you and your art and let people know more and more about your talent.. then you even honour me by posting this here. Your talent makes em sparkle.. but... it's your awesome touch. I can merely DREAM about being capable one day to paint like you :)I will put my best to make your portrait shine dear :) You're so incredibly beautiful, that it won't be difficult. Lotta love, and thank you :)

You're such a sweetie Meli :)! Of course I was going to upload it here, after all I would never have been able to paint your portrait if I hadn't joined Renderosity :). Thanks again for your encouragement, I don't think I'm quite worthy of it, but I appreciate it all the same grin. You were lovely to paint, especially that beautiful long hair!

A gorgeous portrait of a gorgeous lady.

I love how you painted meli, especially her hair, long and wavy. This is very reminiscent of meli's own work, since she always makes women with very very long hair. The colors you used have a very serene effect, making it a portrait/ still life. I visited your website and you've made some very interesting stuff, i especially liked your own self-portrait (long hair, 3/4th face) Also, the intuos2 is very good and traditional painting will never compensate for the lack of an "undo" function ;)

Thank you kansas :) syndroid - she has such gorgeous long blonde hair that I couldn't resist painting it :). I'm glad you could enjoy my other artwork, the self-portrait of me, 'Into the Sun' from memory, is one of my favourites :). Hehe, very true too about the Intuos II... traditional painting is wonderful, but if I couldn't 'undo' on my work I'd end up with a lot of messy paintings that's for sure! Thanks for your comment :)

It is amazing. We nearly could start a new gallery with works for Meli or works showing her portrait :-)
BTW - I like this image...

Beautiful..and a peculiar portrait...in the most positive way possible. It's great. There's something about it that really goes into me. Probably the eyes which are utterly amazing. That look...wow. :) You've captured Melania perfectly.
