Description

The strange objects are mathemaical knots created with a free program called KnotPlot (type that word into a search engine, and you can find it easily). You can export the knots in .obj format into a 3D program (in my case Bryce) and render them. Then I brought the knots into Photoshop along with a couple of my photos and put it together.

That's wonderful! I know the Knotplot program, but I never thought of doing this with it - what an original use of resources, and such great effect!

I have not the softwares, but if one can do this with them, I should think of buying it. as usual you're an outstanding creator of beautiful and original images :)
