Description

This is a cover of a CD I recently played on and did some arrangements and recordings on. It's flamenco style album and features a lot of nylon string guitar. I did the cover in Painter 6, its a combination of some scans I composited and layered, there was also a lot of airbrushing involved. The auto Van Gogh effect was used and raised using the apply surface texture to give it a classic look.

Fantastic work on the cover! I love the style. Guess I should break down and learn painter, it looks like such a diversable program.

Hi dglidden, Thanks for the comment! I have to say Painter is such an amazing program, it's not that difficult to get to know, a lot of the old floaters are now very much like Photoshops layers. But it has such incredible depth to the program and the imapasto depth functions (not used on this image) are a complete blowaway. Harvey

Beautiful - I happen to come across your name and decided to see your gallery, this is an amazing image and very well done. That effect you used really adds character :)
