Description

A very different place from my previous image...:) I did all the modeling except for the cars, which are all from: http://dmi.chez.tiscali.fr/. This is a pure Vue render, no post work at all.

Just brilliant. The detail, depth, blur, textures are all fantastic. Well done.

Outstanding! I love how there is no post work as 90% of my work is the same (no post work but my name on the scene). I think making the program bend to your will and find the ways to make it do what you want with out post work can be part of the Vue challenge. My hat is off to you on this effort as it shows your will to make it happen. Excellent and a vote well deserved. Regards, shoop

Dang... you're good! I'm in complete awe! What you've done with the lighting in this one is something I find completely out of this world! The details... The way you've positioned blue and red lights near those neon-signs, in order to get the coloured reflections in the containers... mmm :) Very well done!

Yeah... Very, very realistic - especially lights - (motion blur is the weaknes of vue)- but could you tell me what is the purpose to set such 3D scene? You can take your camera and shoot such picture in every major city...

Yes Sylvia, you can also take your camera around and shoot landscapes, trees, houses, lakes, seashores, fish, skies, plants, well almost anything you'll see in this gallery. :) Why would someone want to climb to the top of a mountain only to go back down? For the challenge maybe, for a feeling of personal achievement, or just for the fun of it.... I am inspired by what i see around me, even mundane or "ugly", and i see it as a great challenge (and a lot of fun) to try and recreate those visions in my head using 3D. That's about all there is to it. :)

Where's that Vote button? This is excellent - composition, colours, lighting - everything! Plus it is very unusual subject matter for Vue. Speaking of which, I find SylviaG's final comment rather strange. Should we not (in her opinion) therefore seek to achieve realistic portrayals of everyday subjects such as cityscapes, landscapes, interiors, portaits even, simply because similar results could be achieved with a camera? Well, it would certainly make this gallery a lot smaller... and not all of us feel driven to do fantasy scenes or abstracts, certainly not exclusively.

eran this is magnificent work it reminds me of madonnas old video... song was(ray of light)i really like how you achieved this with no postwork just shows what can be achieved with time and effort and no mean amount of skill the challenge of doing art by just the program your using somehow makes it all the sweeter..the motion works a treat..the modelling is excellent..bill(flycatcher) is spot on with his comment too and i agree wheres that bloody vote button..top notch work... shoop nailed the comment as well.. only problem i can see is the cars are on the wrong side of the road..lol

Hey ... very realistic .. great lighting. I agree with you about the challenge of making a picture with no postwork... And yes, it is very difficult to deal with motion blur in Vue... may be a little bit too much on the cars on the left ... Anyway a great scene. Bravo...and my vote

I actually thought this was a photograph. Your talent in Vue is humbling. I think I'll go back to Bryce. ;)

This is a work of genius. End of story. Yeah, you can do wonderful things with dragons and barbarians and half-naked women, but it's capturing tastes of reality that's the hardest thing in the world to do. And, for my personal tastes, the most intersting thing to see. And this does that very well. Kudos to you. Just excellent work all around. Now if you'll excuse me, after seeing this, I'm going to go delete every single image in my gallery.

Appologies for lateness Erka, been a little Ill just lately, but over the worst of it now. As for whats going on here the galleries seem to be going nuts (or is that just because I havn't been around in a while? LOL) Anyhoo, this is amazing... You know I'm a big fan of your work anywayz, right from the original work you did on the Vue CD's to the wonderful work you post here. Eran Dinur (hope i spelled it right) was alwyas a name that became senonimous(sp again?) with a brilliant piece of art. This, no exception, and for fully Vue I am very very impressed. I hope one day to be half as good as you Eran... All the best, Kutter
