Description

"Black Tears" I composed this image with my photography's after the sinking of the oil tanker "Prestige" in the Galician coasts. A great ecological catastrophe, and also economic, caused by the toxic oil slick in November 2002, affecting Galician,Cantabric and French coasts. The red color represents the color of the ship; the black represents the oil, and the drawing of the little girl and the dolphin, the love for the Nature, opposed to the attitude of the persons responsible of the catastrophe and its consequences.

Another "Single Hull" Disaster...another "Exxon Valdez"...another Flag of Convienience..however, soon...all Single Hull Tankers are to be Phased Out. I cried a Salty Tear, f0r the Ecological Disaster, that was the "Prestige". Your work, Enax...Moving Work..Greenpeace would love such Art!

Very striking, powerful artistic statement, Francesc. I love the symbolism of colors you've chosen. People should be reminded of the fact they cannot survive without nature more often. Maybe they would finally learn to respect and protect it.
