Description

After a night's downloading a week or so ago, I was checking the files I downloaded and pulled this cathedral into Vue. By the end of the night I knew I had to make this piece of art. It took several days to get it to this stage, but some images simply must be made however long they take. Sometimes I don't think we have enough reverence for life, spiritual or natural. This piece was mainly an expression of that desire for reverence and the peaceful reflection we often are too busy to persue. The statue is "Mourner" by Baumgarten Enterprises (www.baument.com); the Lightposts are by Benettor; the Cathedral is called "KIRCHE" from www.dream-of-vue.de; I did all the texture/scene work and the stone rail. In checking my work for Davy's free trees, I realized I used one in this scene. The tree to the right of the cathedral is one of the free trees Davy offerd that we found out after-the-fact is based on nitro115's tree available at his store: http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?Who=nitro115 Thanks Davy for your integrity to let us know about this. Lovely scene! you did a great work on the lights around and inside the Cathedral. The way the sunset light falls on the statue is very pretty too.
