Description

This is my very first Vue image. I was going to add a Poser figure, but I don't think Vue can import Poser 5 characters...hopefully soon? Comments appreciated.

This is a first? Unbelievable. Its simply excellent. Have you tried to export Poser objects as .obj files (for example) and import that into Vue?

Thanks Wabe :) Yes, I tried exporting the objects as you described. Vue then asks me to locate Poser 4 on my computer. Since I don't have that, I pointed it at Poser 5. It then told me I don't have a valid serial number (which can't be the case).

Excellent first image. Well done. Following on from wabe... You then import the .obj file NOT the .pz3 poser file.

Welcome to the club of Vue-addicts and congrats for such a wonderful "first shot"! As far as I know Poser5 import will work with the upcoming version 4.2 which is just around the corner - so there's hope. ;)

First image? Wow!! Excellent work, Serendipity!! As the TheWingedOne said version 4.2 will give Vue Poser 5 compatibility but unfortunately it does not take advantage of Poser 5s new features; it will just let Poser 5 do what Poser 4 could do all along. Dont get me wrong if all you have is Poser 5 this is definitely a good thing.

wow..excellent work and i agree with wabe on this..this works for me in poser5 do your figure..go to file ...export..as..wavefont..click yes to the seams and stuff save to desktop..:)open vue ..load from new select your atmosphere ..then import object ..brows to your desktop select the poser file you saved there click on it and vue will load it straight in...you may get asked for textures just click yes when it asks you and browse to c/program files/curious labs poser 5/runtime/ textures the texture for your figure will be there just open it and vue will load the textures and there ya go ...hope this helps..you may probably know how to do all this stuff but this explains it if you dont...:)as for your image its really good..it looks like you messed with bryce or summat cos its very professional for a first effort...wellcome to vue gallery..waiting to see more of your work ..excellent stuff

Lovely scene, Serendipity, welcome to Vue! I'm a former Brycer; I have to admit I am much more partial to Vue and find it easier to drive!
