Description

or, Rendering My Birthday Gifts, part I :) ___________ You know those long summer afternoons, when you come back home after a morning on the beach, and there's *that* almost silent light that seems to sing along with the ever-present surf... and the house is in shade, but you just can *feel* the hot waiting outside... ___________ This is my first try at a fake-HDRI render. The only illumination in the scene comes from the HDRI sphere surrounding it and from a single radial (white, value 1, no falloff) in the up right corner. I'd like to thank a lot Ornlu and Draculaz in the IRC channel where we meet and chat (go take a peek, if you want, here you can find the instructions on how to) for the help and the tips they gave me. ____________________________ And thanx a whole lot to Susan (eelie) that sent me her Shells as a bday gift a couple of days before they showed up in the freestuff section (nyah, nyah, nyah... LOL). They're beautiful, Susan... thanx again! ______________ Some info: rendered at 1100x880 with Premium FX DOF at 144 rpp. Rendertime 8 hours. I tried also True Ambience in some tests, but the estimate rendertime was 2 days at 64rpp and the difference was minimal, so at the end I decided to leave it out. _______ Thanx for stopping by. Any comments and/or criticism are more than welcome. Have a wonderful week! Stefano
