I'm really impressed with the lighting and cloth work in this image. I know you consider yourself an amateur, but this is some of the best monochromatic cloth I've seen in a long time that captures the feel of those older style gowns. I think your friend will be really pleased with this. Great job on the face morph as well!

Hah!! I AM the first person to comment! lol oops, guess not. Darn it! First this looks more like a painting than a render. :) Marilyn is a beautiful woman and you've done her justice, your friend will be more than pleased. Now to the cloth, I'm going to be very honest here, for just being a newbie at it you sure are making it look pro grade, I mean that. The folds are beautifully done and I love how you can see her belly through the cloth. I LOVE the b/w to this and beautiful work on the lighting. Really should be proud of this one! honest honest. hehehe

I agree with what was said. This is not the look of amateur work at all. It's breathtaking!

Excellent!! What a true likeness of Miss Monroe! Beautiful image that gets my vote. Your cloth painting is sensational. I hope your friend is going to be all right and I also wish him a very happy birthday!

For 'amateur' fabric painting, you did an incredibly 'professional' job...no wonder your friend was so happy...it looks exactly like Monroe

You did that in postwork ! Excellent ! I love how you chose to make this black & white like on the silverscreen. She definitely looks like the screen goddess. Excellent play on the shadows too. You know,.. you really ought to put your signature there on the image.

Excellent work. I wondered first if this was a missplaced black/white photo. Very nice of you to spend so much time on this as a gift to your injured friend. Glad he was made happy by it. Sad to hear of the accident- wish him all the best and a good recovery (=no invalid problems!). God bless.

Beautiful work, Joey, there's so much likeliness here. You've captured Marilyn's gorgeous features and character very well. What I like the most is of course the lighting and the delicate work on cloth that follows body curves and looks very natural, realistic.
