Description

For Thorn and Sarsa :) Walking through the woods of FaerieWylde, I spied a climbing tree. Now being a child at heart, the lure of a tree as perfect as this was simply irresistable. Pulling myself up carefully limb by limb, I climbed until I found a branch suitable for perching on and made myself comfortable. As I relaxed, enjoying the song of the peaceful forest, there came a small sound, like a coo of a dove very close to me. Scanning the nearest branches I spied a nest. It was too dark to see, so I reached into my pocket for the tiny light I carry, and shined it onto the intricate weaving of twigs and grass. This is what I saw... I remember a Dr. Seuss story called "Horton Hatches A Who". Horton, an elephant gets talked into sitting on an egg in a nest. This reminds me of that story. Is she sitting in for the mother? An orphan egg, maybe? No matter, this is so cute. The detail is fantastic.
