Description

the "dino" terrain was painted in Photoshop, then rendered in Terragen, and a small level adjustment in Photoshop. I'm not really satisfied with this, please give me your constructive comment.

I like the terrain...constructive comments ? Not very easy, cause always a matter of taste. The surface is to simple, more surface layers would make the picture more interesting.

1st it's a fantastic idea and the terrain is pretty good. related to surface I agree with puenktchen, I would create different layers for the skeleton(s), the rock and the sand. additionally try to give some more structure to the clouds. but again, it is a pretty good image right now

agree with puenktchen. the terrain is great and the light gives good shadows, but i dont like the clouds. try to give the surface more layers, maybe a sandy desert one and a few graspoints. and when you have the terrain in photoshop, try to make sam mask for the bones and give them a white surface. but its up on you

All i can do is to thank you for this wonderful idea ! In fact you did exactly what i am dreaming of and what i am trying to do all the time, this means to use different kinds of Software in another sense it is meant to be created for. And your image is just a marvellous example how this can be executed. I think in your pic the surface, pov or sky dont matter at all because it is the new kind of use of Terragen which is important. You made me see new "horizons". Your image gives me lots of new ideas to develop and to play around and i cannot do otherwise than to give you my vote !

Yeah, maybe because i didn't have much patience working on the surface maps and the clouds, coz i really wanted it to get it done quickly and posted it :)

I think this is fantastic. I tend more to vote for the mind behind the image than for the image itself, if I can feel what the artist was intending, then it definately gets my vote, Great job radjabadjingan!!!!!
