Description

This is a new take on one of my earliest models, and my first totally boolean model, built completely in Bryce. This ship was the subject of the first image I ever posted on Renderosity, but now I finally took the time to retexture it so as to give it the appearance of more detail. I think this looks a lot more impressive than the original texturing, and I hope you all agree. Please rate and comment, so I know if there are any more changes that you think I could make to improve this model.

Kind of a TOS Stargazer, interesting about the blue glow on the nacelles, apparently Roddenberry wanted to have that effect on the original filming model in '64 but did not have the money then.

yeah, that sounds about right. The concentric rings and ridges are something new for this era, I'd bring the flat cylinder-like surface up a bit, to smooth it out (also gives you more room for signeage..there's a Crillee and Federation hull font out there, if you have postwork capabilities..;) interesting.
