Description
An electric (motor) locomotive it produced 4620 HP. It could be easily regeared from passenger service to freight. The first was made for Pennsylvania RR in 1934 and ended service with Amtrak in the late '70's.
I took the model stripped it down to bare plastic and painted it Brunswick Green and decaled it with the deluxe gold "cat's whiskers". I painted the undercarriage silver to enhance the detail.
Unfortunately they will never run the rails again.
They ran on 25Hz AC while the modern electrics use 60Hz.
