Description

(left) the common and uninteresting Rocky Mountain marmot. (right) the fascinating and rare, ( only 80 est. to survive in the wild) Vancouver Island marmot. Although ordinarily creatures of high alpine meadows, the marmots prefer to spend their off time at the beach. Being a fastidious eater, the VI marmot always brings its own lunch. Gave my head quite a bump earlier, but I'm allright now. Thanks for looking.

I think the islands are losing the population to Cape May, NJ~ Their probably hitching rides with the vacationers from there, who come down here on holiday. I hear the little guys are quite fond of salt water taffie~ LOL.
