Great design man! But why dump the grinning face? I liked it a lot. Excellent work anyway :)

Lets just say it is the same model, but a different unit that doesnt alloww face paintings ;)
Anyway, I am still working on it and I think that the final version will have some more paintings again, including a cool face painting.

Wow, thats impressive. Makes me shudder somehow :) Altough I have to admit, that somehow something is missing without the grinning face. Somehow it looks naked now ;) I'm eager to see your next picture :)

Wow this is awesome, how did you do the grass? I'm amazed at the clouds/smoke effect too. excellent :)

The grass? I took a terrain object, doubled it, triangulated it and did some inner extrude without group preservation. After that I just did a matrix extrude and the grass was done. Very simple, but render intensive. Using transmaps with grass painted on them doesnt look as good but saves time.

I'm not really into robots etc usually, but this is a good job with atmosphere. I'd like to see the lighting on the robot more dramatic & contrasty- its a bit too even at moment.

Holly Buddha... Just tried to look for anything to improve but without sucesss ^^* But IMO a faceless war machine is even more dreddfull then one with a face on. Just my personal feeling though... Looks more soul-less I guess... ;)
