Description

With everyone posting all their artist-inspired images from Royo or Boris or Julie, I dug out one of the ones that I did back in about 2000 or so after I read a tutorial on cloth and hair painting. It's my Poser rendition of a Michael Whelan image. I don't think I've painted a more realistic sheet since :)

Somehow the hair doesn't seem to have the same quality of reality (or unreality) as the other elements. It is not far enough off to be jarring. It's just a subtle difference that seems off to me. BUT - I am about as far away from someone with an opinion that should matter as your are likely to find. This is just my two cents letting you know how it struck me. I still really like it. Thanks!
