Description


Orthographic image of an area east of Baker Lake in the North Cascades. Coverage is approximately 25 miles on a side. Terragen 0.9.08 + contrast adjustment in PSP 8. Terrain made from 6 10-meter DEMs via Global Mapper. DEMs from the University of Washington.

If it hadn't been in the Terragen gallery, I would have figured it was an aerial photograph. Very nicely done!

wow, you had much more success than me when I tried something like that :) is it just me though, or does it look like the snow is in the valleys, and the tops of the ridges are green? is this like one of those "is the cube pointing out or in" things? :)

I think i'll have a go at one of these, they show different qualities in the terrains. With a nice surface map with contrasting colours it really defines the shapes. xlt.
