Description
First attempt at tjod's TER challenge #1, using the 2049x2049 terrain of Cape Royal.
I'm not really attempting to mimic any particular canyon (much less the 'great' one).
No overlays used. Quite a few strata, one texture.
Post-processing: Sharpen, colour balance (MS Photo Editor and 'Ulead Photo Express').

this image looks so...I don't know..the terrain is great, the PoV is a bit too high...but the surface is too pixelate

perhaps I overdid the 'sharpen' afterwards? I can see what you mean about the POV too...there is supposed to be a cliff in the foreground (bottom right), but with the sun where it is, it's almost entirely invisible in shadow.
