The foreground is amazingly realistic! I like the idea of the distant trees but I'm not sure if they would appear light or as a darker silhouette, close to the mid-range tree color...

Very nice! I'm sure the trees in the far background would be a darker, shadowy shade of color, rather than whitish - unless they were covered in snow. Otherwise an extremely well done landscape piece.

Very nice, the foreground is excellent. If you play with your haze and fog editor you can get the terrain in the distance to look more realistic I think. Forgive me for not ranking your image as I am not sure ranking anything is for me to decide. Commentary is what is helpful in my artwork and I hope you will find my suggestion helpful in yours. Thanks, shoop

Lovely mood piece; the restricted colour palette works very well. My only problem is... yes you guesssed it, the far distant trees. I don't think it's a matter of lighter or darker, they simply don't fit in with the rest of the image, which is excellent and realistic. The pointy terrain-derived outline just does not convince as a tree-line, and the scene would be better without them. Chop them down and I'd happily raise my Great to an Excellent.

This is a beautiful classic image, and i agree with everybody here about the distant trees. In fact, i think that taking them out will just improve the image :)

I find the bushs, with the duck toothbrushes, in the forground block my eye movement. I want to be able to get into the water with out blockage. I hardly notice the far back trees so another reason to get rid of them.

It approaches the fine work of oil.
