solid sketch. it's always nice to see another drawer's work posted. some of these poser artists are really talented, but the site seems a tad oversaturated with 'em. i stopped collecting most of the superhero titles a while ago, but noticed jim lee was working on bats now. do you have a particular artist's style in the back of your mind when you're drawing a franchise character like bm? if so who?
DoctorWHO
Thanks for the comment. No I don't really have one artist's style when I'm drawing these. I've been influenced by many many artists. Jim Lee, Frank Miller, Todd McFarlane...the list goes on and on. I like to keep my drawings mixed in the way of style, obviously I've been influenced by Manga as well, but I like to combine it all and come up with my own style. So really no "one" artist is really at the back of my mind....more like bits of all of them.

I like the scratchy lining..very passionate in a way :)

Thanks for your comment again Gallimel, I do tend to be a scratchy artist when it comes to penciling. They tell you to do in blue line pencil first and then clean it up with regular pencils......but I'm much more comfortable drawing away on regular pencils. I'm like that with ball point pens as well. Just works for me.
