Description


A section of beach along Canada's West coast known as the "Graveyard of the Pacific." Well over 100 ships of varying types have foundered here, with the worst loss of life 137 people on the Valencia in the early 1900's. That incident led to the creation of what became the West Coast Trail, one of the world's great hikes.
