as long as we are not sincere towards other living beings, our bodies and minds would keep on decaying under the filth of our personal desires deeds, and greed

I find your comment very much in accord with the image of the hand decaying. Once any part of the body begins to decay, the rest of the body, soul and apirit is at risk. In this case your reference is toward the decay of society and our obligation to be pro-active in this world. Unfortunately, our personal desire for gain has effected all of the peoples of this world. The answer is as you have said above...we must honor all living things...every living thing is connected.
