Description

When I was a little boy, I lived on the side of a mountain in Danbury, North Carolina. This scene is much like the waterfalls around our home with their dark rich soil creek banks. It is intended as a illustration, not photorealism and mainly developed from the challenge of making a decent waterfall. Feel free to offer comments and suggestions. I find constructive comments very helpful. Vue 4 on a Mac; I used the depth channel to add the the light haze in Photoshop, but that is the only postwork done on this piece. All the water effects were done in Vue alone. The horse is from www.3dcafe.com; The flowers are from www.toucan.co.jp;

I like this a lot and think you have made a very creditable stab at the waterfall here. I think a minor improvement would be to break up the horizontal line at the top of the waterfall with a rock or turbulence so that it was not quite so severly straight. Also just a personal opinion but I think the horse is superfluous; absolutely nothing wrong with it, I just don't think it needs to be there. Just hopefully constructive suggetsions - I couldn't have done it half as well.
