Description

or, Rendering My Birthday Gifts, part II :) __________________________ Hello everyone. This image is dedicated to my sweet and lovely Vali who sent me this beautiful package, DarkSun, as a birthday gift: a wonderful, versatile texture for Vicky2. My thanx also to her sister Lory who made the top, the shorts and the bracelets you see in this image (they're in the package too). All that we see or seem, Valentina! I know that you love this kind of interiors, so here it is, sweetie! __________________________ Once again I got inspired by "The Raven and Other Poems" by E.A.Poe and, in second hand, by the beautiful musical tribute that Lou Reed just paid him in his last album. Some info/detail: Rendered at 1100x880 with normal AA. It was a long time since I wanted to render another Brycean volumetric, and soon I remembered why I had promised myself to not do that anymore: two volumetric spotlights and one filling radial are the only lights in the scene and the image took 40 hours to render, *sigh*. Sunlight disabled, Mayang phototextures on the walls, "tentacles" composed using Rochr's method. Vicky2 uses DarkSun package by Vali & Lory. Postwork in Photoshop (lettering and some correction on V2 mesh) and Universe (eyes and some highlights). __________________________ Hope you like it. As always, comment and/or criticism are more than welcome. May Your Renders Be Short, Stefano :)

Your lighting is, as always, perfect for this scene. Moody, hazy and dim, with just enough accent rays to arrest the attention. An excellent job!

Hi "Fetish-Man"! At first: I love this text of E.A.P., however, did not know which he comes of him. There is a song with this text and title, from the early 80 ', from a German group with the name " propaganda which I like very much! Nicely, over and over again, parallels in the taste, -of texts, pictures or music to be able to ascertain! To Your Picture: I like the dark atmosphere with the occuring light, which is, -also the depth of the room shine, (with the reflections on the wall), perfect! See you in the hot20! :-)

Love the lighting .Textures are awsome. When you say 40 hours...do you mean to make it or render time.I can't imagine anything taking that long to render.Am I doing something wrong???I thought 45 minutes was a long render. Anyways Keep up this great work! amgif3.gif

HB Stefano! So you're a moonchild eh?(sounds less malignant than cancer) Love the Poe quotation and the render is incredible! Those volumetric lights are KILLER, and worth every moment of rendertime.
