A little shot at a semi-photoreal scene after reading the thread earlier.

Very nice but the problem is the highlights on the glass materials; such round highlights are not realistic (they are due to the light you have used). If you look around you at glass or any other polished material which becomes reflective, you will see some square highlights if you are inside a house : they are due to the reflection of the windows (which are white due to the outside light) on the glass. That's why if you want to have the realism of glass inside a house, you have to modellise the house itself ! (or use other technics to fake it, like placing a photo around the scene). I agree that if you wanted to show virtual glass objects inside a virtual box, the whole lighted by point lights, OK, they will look like your picture. Sorry to be so long, hope you will continue to produce such interesting work, this thread was interesting to compare our knowledge; our quest is not yet finished !
