Quite realistic! but, erm, the smoke could blend in with the scene a bit more and would there really be that much intact of the craft when it's smashed onto a rock/island like that? Perhaps break of the far wing and stick it sideways in the water? Needs more debris lying about. I like!

Well it's a great idea, I love the burnaway sections of the 'craft. A bouple of tips (which you may discard as you feel necessary, of course!) : The smoke : lower the density a bit, it will give it a softer and yet more violent look. The island/water : perhaps a crustier rock texture for the landmass, but the water looks like a plastic sheet, static and unmoving. Try adding some spray, or surf, or waves... Lastly, the DOF blur : Unless this aircraft is tiny, you would never have that much focal difference. Depth of Field should be used to define an image's scale, not just focus. And on landscape-sized images, it's not only unrealistic and impossible, but unnecessary... Just my opinions, keep rendering though, it's gonna be awesome!

Whoa, first thing I noticed was the black smoke, it looks awesome! Maybe thick in the bottom and thinner as it moves up. I love the lighting here! I agree about making a few splashes or turbulence in the water. Overall it's a fantastic job!

I would change the blur at the bottom right because it makes the landscape look like its floating which it isnt but sort of looks like that....will be a fantastic pic when you do more :)

This is a fantastic start if you are to repost. The POV is perfect and that chunk missing from the wing is killer. Cant wait to see what you do to it now.
