Description
A scene to Lawrence Norfolk's "The Pope's rhinoceros".
Done in Bryce, mostly.
I've practiced a lot with the candle-lights, but didn't seem to work out anything nice.
Any suggestions are wellcome.

I get pretty good results for "flames" by making a tapered mesh in the terrain editor and symmetrical lattice. I give it a glass texture, color it light yellow, and play with the opacity so it's slightly opaque. Put a light inside the glass so it picks up the color and texture of the flame and it will make the glass glow. It will take some practice to get the brightness right, but learning is half the fun! The rest of your scene is very good, but watch that the candle holder is not casting any shadows from the candles above. Good job.
