Description

I don't know if your remember the first time you went to see "Star Wars-1977"? I remember it well. We were living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The line to get into the movie was so long. It was the first time in my memory when the special effects far exceeded anything we had ever seen before. It still is to this day, the catalyst for the bigger and better special effects films...and to its' credit, it had a great plot! The sketch was accomplished, with visual reference to a stock celebrity photo, using 5H, H, HB pencils and .3 and .5 mechanical pencils. The background, matting, frame, drop shadow, eyes and soft focus were accomplished through PSP8. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!...Cheryl

Star Wars was the first movie that I ever saw more than one time in the theatre (Grease was the second). I was in third grade when it came out and as I sat there in my seat that movie looked larger than life itself, I've never forgotten that feeling of awe. This drawing is yet another wonderful trip down memory lane Cheryl, and I thank you for taking me there!

Cheryl, This is the best overall rendering that you have ever done? You are exploding with talent and craftmanship every day, Your ability to create the complexity of age and hair contrast amazes me. This deserves my vote, i only wish I could vote for it more. My friend, you are becoming a talent to be watched.

I remember him from "The Bridge on the River Kwai." General Lewis Beebe had the same name as the doctor who delivered me and administered the Phillipines at the time of the Bataan Death march. This is definitely showing you possess the trade secret. (whispers-Scuffed shoes and Dinah Shore...)shhh.. he's going to ask in a moment if you are of sound mind. I will say yes.
