Description

This week the Right Holy Roman Catholic Church did two things. The Vatican published a paper condeming gay relationships as "against the natural moral law". They have stated that Catholics should fight against any recognition of same sex relationships by the legal systems of various nations. The Archdicese of Boston offered $55 million to almost 300 victims for molestation and abuse by priests. No high ranking official has yet to be prosecuted for child abuse, even though bishops and archbishops routinely reassigned know abusers to work with children. Jesus said to look at the plank in your own eye before you look at the splinter in another. The true shame of the church continues to grow as bigoted old men show they have no value for love or for children. There's a special place in hell for people like this.

AMEN, bud! As a believing Christian myself, I never cease to be disappointed by the hypocrisy of the Roman Catholic Church. They will not give blessing to all people seeking committed loving marriage but will cover up pederasts in their own midsts. Well done.

I agree with some of it, but you can't tar all priests with the one brush! There is good and bad in all!

But I can tar the upper hierarchy of the church with one. It's the people in charge who are interfearing in politics, and the same people who transfered molestors from parish to parish, never reporting these monsters to the police. Who's worse? The molestor, or the man who knows he's a molestor and repeated exposes children to him? At least the molestor can be called sick. The man in charge should be called evil.

The man in charge should be held as co-conspirator for the same crime. Who's worse, the predator or he who knowingly sets the wolves in the lambs pen?

Amen to that! I'm an atheist, but the same moral codes (not to mention common sense!) should apply no matter what your faith. I mean really - same sex couples or child molestation, which is doing more harm??
