IMO, the clouds and lighting are wonderful! The ripples left from the fault are interesting.

fantastic lighting... looking at this pic a couple of questions occured in my brain: do you ever think about people with a modem? you know that the average user uses 1024x768 or less as a screen resolution? do you think that this image would look much worse using half the size?

Why has this not got an excellent ranking? It's superb. A brilliant sense of space and scale with lovely contrasting terrain, strange broken clouds creating fantastic lighting and a beautifully effective haze. I don't mind downloading a bigger picture. That's why I have broadband. One niggle. It's a little bit pixelated. Was it rendered with the unregistered Terragen? If so, the registered version with better antialiasing would do this amazing justice (I've just registered). Then it would be a masterpiece. The clouds would be a touch softer. Still, this definitely gets an excellent from me. Fantastic work.

the pixelated look came from conversion to jpg from a bmp... the size, whell moved from deskmod where there were mostly even larger files... if i could upload a zip file...
