Xcellent work on the ship! But do think it requires a more realistic and stunning star backdrop just to set it off! Cause its such a beautiful model ;@)

Absolutely beautiful and fantastic model! Did you make it? Very well rendered as well - maybe the background could do with a litle improvement, but the ship is the star in this image and IMHO you would not want to distract the eye from it. Beautiful lighting and colouring on the biospheres. One of the best space images I've seen.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not happy (now) with the background. ;-) I rendered this as a test and after saving the image, my machine overheated and died. AND the model hadn't saved correctly so I haven't had a chance to recreate it yet. I did make both models(the ship a few weeks ago, (it's the freighter from my other pic), the Bio pods a few days). Modelled from scratch in Bryce.

Amazing film of long time ago !! You have to make the little robots now (he he) As amzing is your work. I'm sorry you lost your file. (did you thik to make a better sky in postproduction? of course if this is your philosophy)

It's a great film. To be honest I'm a bit lazy. But getting such good feedback has gien me the incentive to re-do this one with a decent background.

A wonderful tribute to a great SF film. Your version looks capable of interstellar flight! :-)

When I grow up, I wanna be just like you. Again, you've done great work. Am I, starting to repeat myself?

Just watched this 3 days ago, one of my "Classic-SCI-FI" favorites! I did my own version in my post "The fleet". This is far superior to mine! Love the modeling!!!
