Just a thought, but you might consider moving the central figures back into the scene, making them appear smaller and the scene larger to give the sense of a long day on a long trail. A bit of dust around the place would help with the High Plains flavour. I'd also suggest having strong words with Poser about its mown-green-lawn grass. It does smooth grass well, and any other kind very badly, and it needs a good talking to about it!
