Description

As a counterpoint to the high quality usually enjoyed here I offer: The Perfect Relative's Holiday Picture. You can't really tell, but it's a picture of a Martin Mars water bomber. People who take terrible pictures always tell you that before you see it, so I have. It was taken with an idiot-proof ( a serious misnomer) point and click that apparently works better if you twist it as the shutter opens. The water here doesn't really slope off to Japan. And finally, TADAA, my, I mean some idiot's fingertip. May all you who've never done this, enjoy it.

The largest float plane still flying. It can scoop up 6,000 gallons of water in a pass. Only two exsist. Do a Google on Martin Mars and there are a few sites with the history of the plane and videos of it dropping its load.
