Hello everyone - that's me, if the picture has come up, sitting on Bram Stoker's seat in Whitby. He wasn't around at the time;)
Real name's Nick, aging hippy, late forties. Been into digital art for five or six years. Fave application Photoshop, though having recently aquired Painter 8, it's giving it a serious run for the money, I guess like everyone else here, I'd like to earn a modest living at art instead of the RL job, or at least see my greetings cards for sale in shops.

Very cool Ent. Curious if this is primarily photo manipulation - or was it done from scratch... Interesting image and quality work in either case.

Thanks for the friendly welcome, guys! (and gals!). To answer the points raised - yes the pic is manipulated from a photo. It is mirrored, as you've probably guessed, I put the eyes in but the mouth is natural. For those of you into the symbolism of these sort of pics - the tree is an Oak intertwined with a Hawthorn on an eroded river bank (Derbyshire, UK) - I have an interesting version from the side view - I'll be putting up tomorrow. I've been into Photoshop for about 5 years but have only recently been doing serious stuff - mainly faeries and Goth - which I hope to show you in due course.
