I leave for my first year in college in two days. So a parting shot of where I've lived for what seems to be a freaking long time.

This is very beautiful, Henry. Great POV and wonderful light. Plus, you caught the atmosphere of saying goodbye, too - it's got that 'the end of summer' feel to it. Well, best of luck in college - work hard and stay clean of those spring breaks - it's pure evil! :D
