Cool; I wonder if the exposure to the desert climate might have a weathering effect. Everything is a bit too shiny. Just a thought...

Thanks guy for the comments. shayhurts: You can't see it in this picture, but the cannon can pulled down under groundlevel when it not beeing used. I might put up a picture that shows that. pegasus86: Yes i'm not happy with the light either, but... I suck at lighting, any help would help.

This is brilliant modeling work! An area light would help soften your shadows a bit, and you do need a fill light to get the dark side just a bit. The sand is the right texture, but the crests formed by the wind could be softened just a bit. Perhaps a bit of weathering on the weapon itself? I really like what you've done to present this. Terrific work.

Cool looking cannon. Wonder if weathering would make sense if most of the time its underground?

Really cool. could be a handy device attached to armour, ships (sea and space), troop transported ... etc., Dunno about weathering. Seems that a futuristic device would be of futuristic materials, and any gun crew worth their salt had better keep their weapon spic and span, unless the enemy controls the air. I do love that sand too. :-D
