Oh wow! Looking at the thumbnail, I thought this was going to be a part of a bigger pic, but I'm so glad it isn't, because the detail is wonderful. Your sense of colour and light is great, too, and that eye looks straight at the viewer! Very well done!

The lighting on this is wonderful. Only one minor suggestion would be to somehow make the feathers a bit transparent to let the terrain behind show up a bit. Beautiful coloring and expression.
