Description
Asteroid Manganesia: made entirely from my own libraries, 10km radius --- Starship Mojonaut 4: my own model, almost exactly 100m tall --- Model: Wavefront Object made in Cinema 4D, imports with a Material Forest of 34 Trees into MJW, using a combination of Bitmaps and Procedurals --- Picture: straight MJW render with white point adjustment (after over two years of rendering MJW I still can't get the levels right) --- inspired by Outpost on Shive and 1950s/60s pulp fiction illustrations

Great job on this one all around, but my eye travels to that little orange glow on the horizon. Nice details and modeling as well.

thanks, that little orange glow is the Glimmer of Hope :) --- actually, it's the tiny ground-hugging atmosphere lit up by the Sun. Lighting on tiny asteroids can be bizzarre.

Again, your work is different and interesting. Lots of work go into these pictures I'm sure. Something I like to see in the Mojo community.

Great work. Love the way you've built up this scene. Mojo-tastic spaceship ;D

excellent, in keeping with the genre and most certainly top magazine material

THose models are great, I hope that some day I can do something on that level.

No rating button, but I want to say that I rate this one as excellent, anyway. :) If those are unfinished models, I'd really like to see the finished product.
temp_id
the "finished product", folks, will have people and vehicles on the ground, "bumpers" and 50s-style ornaments on the starship, and better textures... and the black patches near the top will be glass (I had to write my own .mtl file and made a typo). thanks for your comments :)

This is fab - straight out of Thunderbirds - and a great advertisement for 3d graphics
