Description
One of my early attempts at coloring in black and white in Photoshop. I used a few layers and a lot of work with a blur tool to get shading done where there is some. No the original black and white is not my work. http://www.goldenwolfen.com/

looks good - try this for easy shadow and highlights - select a solid color with the wand tool(in photoshop)(say the boot) and just select a slightly darker blue - then take the paintbrush with a big halo and set the opacity to like 50 % and just run the brush along the bottom edges- if you want it slightly darker go over it again (thats why the 50 %) the bigger the brush and halo the more it looks blended- its and easy way to make gradients shadows and highlights - the trick is getting the selection right.
