Description

"Gawain" For the ladies of Rosity ;) Gawain is the eldest son of Lot of Orkney and Morgause. He is the nephew of Arthur and one of his closest companions. He is the brother of Gareth, Gaheris and Agravaine, and the half-brother of Mordred in Arthurian legends. This is just a little project I started working on for fun last weekend. I am working on a Michael 2 texture and decided to use him in an image. I wanted to try my hand at painting clothing since I have never really tried before. I'm happy with the results, but I still have more to learn. I have so many ideas now from doing this image, I may even do a series =) DAZ 3D Michael 2 Gawain texture by me Forest background by miyu The rest is postwork done in Adobe Photoshop 7.0

Hey Cris this is a really good pic, nice colours, background etc and I cant fault the painting of the clothes which is excellent. However, and I really hope you dont take offence cos thats not my intention but the clothes and sword are totally wrong period for Arthurian myth. The pic is still fantastic, its just Arthur is one of my 'sacred cows'. Never the less still a great pic ( :

Darkmagi- No offense taken =) I knew that they were wrong before I named the pic but I love Arthurian Myth and decided to use Gawain as the name for the character texture I am making. I figured people would want to know who Sir Gawain was so I guess I kinda set myself up for correction lol. Thank you for commenting though, I'm glad you haven't disappeared completely =P Wish you'd come back and chat sometime. Thanks again!

Awesome work and about the period..some of the later editions of Autherian Mythos were a bit out of time anyways. I mean if we really look atthe possibility of when he was running around theys be in chariots and simple clothing with a chain hauberk here or there for the really wealthy or important folks. But anyways..great work!
