This is different, for sure. You know that there is an old disney story (Donald Duck) where a little planet like this is connected to earth via a cable? It reminds me to this wonderful story. I must find it again in my old archives. Thanks for reminding me!

Marvellous piece of work! Very original,great idea for the layout, with the highlighted elements, especially with the different camera angles - like the others said, must of been a real thumb twiddler to render! You've got my vote.

Incredible work Scott! The idea behind this is really great. You have done an exceptional job...I'll bet it took a while to render. Makes me think of how small we really are in this universe.

I think this is a true masterpiece - in concept as well as in execution. But forgive me for being skeptical (or plain ignorant) about the lack of postwork - does it adress to the whole layout? (Then I'm MORE than skeptical) What about the signature, and the montage layout? Not to take anything away - it's a brilliant compostion.

czarnyrobert: Here are some statistics: 587 objects, 3 lights, 26 million polygons. Render time was about 1 hour in broadcast.
