Description

I was experimenting with GI last night and this was the result. I felt it was post-worthy so here it is! Tree made with OnyxTree, bench made from scratch(well splines actually), hallway design taken from a image I saw online(built it with boxes). The only light in the scene is a skylight set at .25x power. The rest is all global illumination! Don't just look at the image, PLEASE comment on it as well! Thanks in advance!

Have to say that the tree and the bench are killing this environment. Such a great render, excelent job on lighting..Don't stop now though. I would try to make a little more detailed bench (mabye scale it up a bit also, looks a little out of proportion). And instead of having the plant mysteriously grow out of the concret it might be cool to make a little planter for it and place it next to the bench....anyhow thats my two cents.

The image was more of a fluke, just messing around with GI and viola! it looked interesting and I thought that art didn't have to make sense. I tried in a planter too but looked worse then it does now. I also tried a larger and smaller bench and didn't work then it made the tree look tiny, don't know what else to put in that environment, I hit a creativity wall when i tried. Was going for simple, and unique. Any suggestions on what else could be in the scene to make it more interesting/work better? Thanks for the comments and advice.

Try putting some of those M&M figures in here maybe playing volleyball or golfing. That should really spruce up this image.:)
