Here are Chuck's personal words to the community:
I am a self-taught artist, formerly working in traditional or conventional media. For the last two years I have been experimenting with CG (Computer Graphics), and trying to transition from traditional/conventional media to digital imaging. In a few words, I simply love art and always have. Many of my images are "post-worked" by hand, re-scanned and manipulated in Photoshop. On occasion, I still use pencil, Prismacolor, Silverpoint, Pen & Ink or painting to achieve the desired effect. Whether executed the "old way" or the "new way" or a combination of both, which I often fall back on.
Art is art and it is the end result that is (hopefully) appreciated.

Super great !Your choice of colors right on the money ! Egyptian of course with the scarabs. But when you study the face it also gives you a sence of almost medieval.I just love it.

by far the most important amulet in ancient Egypt was the scarab, symbolically as sacred to the Egyptians as the cross is to Christians, a time loop?! maybe ;0] superb concept!!!!

Wow, wonderful work. The technique with the scarab remind me on a painting of Boris Valejo. Excellent work!!!

S* Though I love the entire image - I like the "Escher-ish" touch of both the woman and the scarab, seeming to come up out of the paper - very kewl.
