Yup... you guessed it... version five... I must have a lot of free time on my hands or sumthun huh pa?.... curse those slow business months... oh well....
Anyways.... I've added more lights and played with the sky setting... I really just can't seem to decide on a sky?.... too many possibilities.... you have to love Bryce's flexibility in that area :)
Some of the surface areas have been tweaked a little too...

You know what I'm missing a bit here (and the previous wip's)? those l'll window lights...

Getting better and better. I like this one the best. Strangely however, I prefer the thumbnail. Slightly tighter in on the city. Not giving it all away. From the thumbnail you can't see how far the city extends, which I think increases the scale. But that's MHO. I like the smog/fog too. Excellent atmosphere. Waiting for version VI. (AND... I quite like it without window lights. Again gives a sense of massive scale. We're too far away to see individual windows. Or pehaps they don't have windows, since there's nothing to look at. )

that's the thing about alien planets; they can look like whatever you want. Not sure if you can add windows or not, if they're already-done models. Maybe a mat with windows in it might be in order.

This is great to look at. That heavy/dusty fog is sweet. But I agree, I think the tighter shot in the thumb was a better point of view.

The atmosphere here give a great touch to the picture

You've made great composition.

loooks great - where is the stargate :)

I like the buildings - it almost looks like a futuristic city paying hommage to ancient Egyptian or Aztec civilization. It has a really nice feel. I also concur with the tighter framing - zoom in a little bit, perhaps.

Aye, it's getting better with each iteration! I'm impressed...

Its nice to see some one streching Bryce's limits. The atmosphere both ties the composition together and sets it off.

Yep, I agree somewhat with drawbridge: the only thing that's not excellent in this picture is the sense of scale: somewhat I feel that the city is small... all the rest is fantastic.

Looks great!
