Description

Story: The origin of this image is still unknown, from the rough ink sketches we can determine that it was most likely taken in 1874. The farm has never been seen and neither has the depicted tree. Years later it was sent into Mr. Ripley's Believe it or not magazine, Ripley dismissed it as an elaborate hoax performed On the Down Low: Well... Here's my august challenge entry dispite the heaps of postwork the image is basically bryce. Oi 16 layers in photoshop later.. I've never tried this before and wanted to experiment my own way, I think it came out rather well. Incase you are wondering it's supposed to look like an old crappy photo so don't say "hey taht image looks like crap" "what do u have crap for a prauwesessar?" "Hey waht's wit teh crap?" And yes I Know that in 1874 bills didn't look like this, but I had allready made the tree and didn't want to remake it. I rendered the base image at 1600 by 1200 in 35 minutes (possibly my lowest render time of all my gallery images (seriously)) And although I've done a lot of pieces, this is one of my few images that I would consider art.

And you're right... incredible achievement. I still have to go look at the Forum, but I sure won't miss that. Excellent all the way.

stunning...that is some impressive postwork :). My only #comment would be that you could crop off maybe half of the grass and still have a stunning image

Aye, I thought for certain it would be a REAL money tree, but this is still a cool pic! Totally different style for you...

I very much consider this image art also. The sepia look is artfully executed with the blend between photo and Bryce seamless. Well done!!

This is one fine image Robert. Love the sepia look and you have done a wonderful job in getting that aged photo look and feel. Excellent brycing and photoshop skills on display. Also wonldn't worry about these childish people, keep on doing the great art. ---- Scott.
