Description

"Go tell the Spartans, thou that passest by, That faithful to their precepts here we lie." From the Epitaph written as a memorial to the valiant defenders at Thermopylae by Simonides of Ceos. When the whole Persian Imperial Army came knocking at Greece's doors ther was an omen from the oracle of Delphi to "The Land of the Two Kings" namely Sparta. It was foretold that one of their kings would die in battle to save the city from doom. Leonidas, the older of the two kings, and a small band of Spartans were forever to remain in history at the Battle of Thermopylae. Maybe it's me, but he looks a little like Charlton Heston. That's appropriate, given some of the roles heston's played. Good piece. I like it.

The textures are stunning, the character sincere and the background as ingenious as it is appropriate =) What else can you ask for, well done Jon.....you even have me looking forward to Mike 3.0
